Dr. Henry Mutebi (PhD) is an accomplished Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance at MUBS Mbarara Campus, Makerere University Business School. He also serves as the PhD cohort 4 coordinator at Makerere University Business School within the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research. Dr. Mutebi possesses over 14 years of extensive research and practical experience in both commercial and humanitarian supply chain management.
Throughout his career, Dr. Mutebi has provided consultancy services to a diverse range of organizations and agencies, both governmental and non-governmental. His consultancy engagements include collaborations with Mengo & Jinja School of Nursing, Uganda Health Marketing Group, Crown Beverages, Kakira Sugar, Uganda Property Holding, and Movit Products Ltd. Over five consecutive years (2010-2014), he guided these organizations in enhancing their supply chain and inventory management capabilities, as well as adding value to their operations.
Dr. Mutebi was a key member of the team that assessed the implementation of parallel bid evaluations for high-spend entities, particularly referencing UNRA, and evaluated the challenges in executing complex procurements for Ugandan High Spend Procuring and Disposing Entities in 2018. Currently, he is involved in groundbreaking research focused on developing an Extension Services model to help local governments boost the potential of Micro and Small Enterprises, thereby catalyzing household income and employment generation.
As part of his PhD project on inter-organizational coordination among humanitarian organizations during relief delivery, Dr. Mutebi has extensively engaged in stakeholder discussions and qualitative research. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in study design, data collection, and analysis in supply chain management. Dr. Mutebi’s comprehensive background and dedication to advancing the field of supply chain management underscore his capability to deliver exceptional academic services and drive successful project outcomes.
